1. Who we are

This website is operated by Kramtec Conveyor Belts (“KramTec”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), based in Bedfordview, Gauteng, South Africa. For personal information that we decide how and why to process, KramTec is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may process:

Your name, company name, email address, phone number, service interest, and message.
Correspondence and enquiry records when you email, call, request support, or otherwise engage with KramTec.
Standard technical and security information processed by our hosting infrastructure, such as IP address, browser or device details, request path, and date and time of access.
If you consent to analytics: pages visited, approximate location derived from technical data, device and browser information, scroll depth, time-on-page events, telephone-link clicks, outbound-link clicks, and the service category selected when preparing an enquiry.

The contact form prepares an email in your own email application. The details you type are not submitted to KramTec by the website itself. KramTec receives them only if you choose to send the prepared email. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, company, or message to Google Analytics.

Respond to enquiries, assess requirements, prepare quotations, and provide support.
Manage business relationships and take steps requested before entering into an agreement.
Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
Measure website performance and visitor engagement where analytics consent was given.

4. Our grounds for processing

We process personal information where it is necessary to respond to your request or take steps towards a contract, where KramTec or a third party has a legitimate interest that does not unjustifiably prejudice your rights, where you have consented, or where processing is required by law. Google Analytics is optional and is activated only after consent. Netlify Web Analytics operates server-side without analytics cookies and is not controlled by this consent.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use one essential first-party cookie to remember your cookie preference. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics is loaded and may set analytics cookies. The service provides aggregated information about how visitors use the website. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, and Google Signals are disabled in our website configuration. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may also provide server-side Web Analytics based on requests processed through its content delivery network. This does not use client-side analytics code or set analytics cookies. It may report information such as page views, approximate location, popular pages, referral sources, bandwidth, errors, and unique visitor counts calculated using IP addresses. Because this measurement occurs through server logs, it is not controlled by the website's cookie settings.

6. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as reasonably necessary with website hosting, security, email, IT, analytics, professional, and other service providers; with parties involved in a legitimate business transaction; or with authorities where required or permitted by law. Providers may process information only for the relevant service and remain subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security requirements.

Some technology providers, including Google when analytics is enabled, may process information outside South Africa. Retention periods vary according to the record and applicable requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
